Pigment in flesh, some split pits, suture bulge, uneven halves, excellent taste, very nice peach

Description

An attractive, early season, peach. Origin: Byron, GA. USDA-ARS, by W.R. Okie. Fireprince X BY78GN55 (Redgold X Durbin). Selected in 1984; tested as BY82P5750; introd. 1997. Fruit: round; 7 cm diameter; firm, 90% bright red; yellow flesh; clingstone. Tree: Vigorous; moderate resistance to bacterial spot; flower showy self-fertile; reniform leaf glands. Chilling requirement 850 h.
