Description

Orig. by C.F. Zaiger, G.N. Zaiger, L.M. Gardner, and G.G. Zaiger, Modesto, Calif. Plant patent 8085; 5 Jan. 1993. (Unknown nectarine seedling x Royal Gold) x {(O'Henry o.p.) x [(May Grand nectarine) o.p. x Sam Houston]}. Fruit: large; nearly globose; firm; attractive red skin color over yellowish-white ground color with moderate pubescence; flesh white, melting, freestone. Ripens 1 month after Giant Babcock in the late maturity season. Flowers large, showy, pink; leaf glands globose. Tree: large; vigorous; upright; productive. Subacid flavor and sweet.
