Description
A very firm, midseason peach.
Origin: Byron, GA. USDA-ARS, by W.R. Okie. Open pollinated seedling of BY81P2840
(= O.P. seedling of O’Henry). Selected in 1986; tested as BY84P3350;
introd. in 1997. Fruit: Large; 8 cm in diameter; yellow flesh; freestone,
round; with 90% red blush; firm; ripens between Harvester and Redglobe. Tree:
Vigorous and productive; moderately susceptible to bacterial spot; flower
large, showy, pink and self-fertile; reniform leaf glands. Chilling requirement
850 hours.
