Description

An early season, consistent cropping peach. Origin: Byron, GA, USDA-ARS, by W.R. Okie. F2 of Dixiland x Durbin. Selected in 1983; tested as BY81P1216; introd. in 1998. Fruit: ripens 7 days before Redhaven, round, 7 cm diameter, 90% bright red blush, yellow flesh, semi-freestone. Tree: vigorous; flowers large, showy and self-fertile; moderate resistance to bacterial spot; leaf glands absent. Chilling requirement 950 h
