Description

Orig. in Fresno County, Calif., by C.O. Hesse, Univ. of California Kearney Horticultural Field Station. Plant patent 3977; 16 Nov. 1976; assigned to The Regents of the Univ. of California, Berkeley. B4-59 X B4-59; B4-59 = Fireglobe x 34M; cross made in 1962; selected in 1967; on trial in 1968 as 6,11-12B. Fruit: globose to broad ovate; uniform, smooth, golden ground color; medium to dark red blush; sparse pubescence; freestone; flesh firm, rich flavor, low acid; ripens end of August before Fairtime and Summerset. Tree: medium vigor; upright; spreading; leaf glands weakly reniform; flowers large, showy, light pink. Highly susceptible to bacterial spot.
