Description

Plant Patent #20,128 issued on June 30, 2009 to Dr. Joeseph C. Goffreda (Rutgers University, NJ). This is an attractive early mid-season yellow-fleshed peento with 70-80% medium red color on a yellow background. The fruit is firm and handles well with very little stem pull problem, associated with Saturn. Fruit flavor is described as ‘spicy’. Flesh texture is nonmelting. Bloom is showy and leaf glands are reniform. The tree is productive and resistant to bacterial spot. From Adams County Nursery.
