WHITE, 35% ripe, minimal brown rot, deep stem pit, dull RGC, wider than tall, asymmetric prominent suture

Description

Orig. in New Brunswick, N.J., by M.A. Blake, New Jersey Agr. Expt. Sta. Introd. in 1940. J.H. Hale x Delicious; cross made in 1925; tested as N.J. 98. Fruit: large; round, uniform; skin bright red on white ground, attractive, pubescence medium; flesh creamy white, red at pit, melting, moderately firm, fine texture, good quality, freestone; ripens 2 weeks before Elberta. Tree: vigorous, globular, very productive; flower large, showy, petals pink, self-fruitful, blooms with Elberta; leaf glands reniform; chilling requirement 850 h.
